This award was established to honor those members of the SUVCW and/or other Allied Orders who go above and beyond in cultivating fraternal relations and take an added interest in working together with other Allied Order organizations in Missouri. It is presented to those who "promote fraternal relationships between the Allied Orders in perpetuating the memory of the Grand Army of the Republic and our ancestors who fought to preserve the Union

Process

There is no specific requirement to make this award on a routine basis. This award is for special recognition only. Department members interested in recognizing an individual for the Grand Army of the Republic award should submit their nominations to the Department Senior Vice Commander. The nomination shall be reviewed by the Awards Committee and a recommendation subsequently submitted to the Department Commander. The award shall then be presented at the annual Department Encampment.
