TOURS HELD ON THURSDAY AUGUST 5, 2021

Depending on interest, we have these three tours scheduled to occur.  All come with a ride in a tour bus (not a school bus) and come with a bag lunch from Maggie's Lunchbox.

THE REGISTRATION FORM IN AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE!

1)  The Missouri Civil War Museum - A new museum that the SUVCW helped get started,.  Also, another museum in the area may be open that day if you want to take a short walk to it.

2)  In keeping with the 200th Anniversary of Missouri: who better to find out more about than Daniel Boone.  We plan a visit to his home in Defiance, MO, where he was a judge for the Spanish empire.  The area has a small community restored in the area.  This is Missouri Wine Country!  Did you know that Missouri grapes saved the Wine industry in  Europe when their grapes became diseased!  Well, we also plan a visit to a winery where you can sample some wine and maybe buy some for your lunch at Daniel Boone Home or to take home.

3) The Museum of Transportation, with Civil War Railroad Cars and Bobby Darin's ridiculous finned car. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is more than the name for a John Candy/Steve Martin movie!
