General David Perkins Grier (1836-1891), who served for a while with the 8th Missouri Infantry, was born in Pennsylvania, died in St. Louis, but buried in Peoria, IL. He was a long time member of the Ransom Grand Army Post 131 in St. Louis. This is the memorial honoring him prepared at the Ransom Post.
